The accomplishing generation of the Tight Knit, were born concurrently with the establishment of the State of Israel. These youngsters were educated in the spirit of the “Torah and Labor” values. The group is holding a blunt and profound discussion on the future of the religious Zionist Jewry, which is at a crossroad, on the menacing space that lies between the secular and ultra-orthodox worlds, on their children’s education, on the status of religious women in the religious society, as well as on political issues related to the land of Israel.
The film is a first attempt to confront the realm of the Tight Knit's population, without stereotyping or prejudice. It finds a complex reality, of deliberation and surprises, of opposite opinions in all areas, which divide even families. In spite of the crises they experience, they manage to combine a religious reality of values with openness and tolerance towards other groups and different individuals, realizing and keeping the commandment of “love thy neighbor as thyself”.
