Israeli movie ‘Lebanon’ wins best film at Venice Film Festival (Jpost.com)

Samuel Maoz's movie Lebanon won best film at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday evening.

Set in the First Lebanon War, Maoz's film is about four soldiers dispatched to a hostile town, which turns out to be a far more dangerous assignment than they anticipated.

Itay Turan and Oshri Cohen, who were in Beaufort, another drama set in Lebanon, star, along with Moni Moshonov.

  1. I saw this film same days ago and found it was a fantastic production ! The atmospheer is real wit his fear, anxiety, pain, terror ! I remember some friends who where on the net when the last events happened, terrible period, and fantastic Lebanon.
