The Foundation Stone - the "Holy of Holies" on Jerusalem's Temple Mount - is believed to be the spot where the world was created - and where it will end…
In this breathtaking documentary, the secrets and forces clashing over this ancient stone are unraveled. Through a wide range of spiritual and scientific experts, such as Kabbalist Rabbi Yitzhak Batzri, Muslim Sheikh Dr. Akrama Al Sabri, Christian Father Eugenio Alta and Quantum Mechanics expert Prof. Lev Widman, the significance and explosiveness of the Foundation Stone is revealed.
According to Judaism, the Foundation Stone is where the Creation took place, According to Islam - this is where the Prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven. Christianity attributes the concept of “The Mystical Foundation” to Jesus. Every theological and historical event is a manifestation of divine intervention and serves to bring about the Redemption at the holiest place in the world.
When a water stain is suddently discovered in the Foundation Stone, Christian Clerics, Jewish Kabbalah experts and Muslim authorities rush to consult - as according to tradition, the discovery of water in the Foundation is a sign for the coming of the End of Days. And in today's fragile Jerusalem, political and religious forces are about to ignite over this sensitive and sacred place.

A man wakes up with a bullet wound in an abandoned parking garage in Tel Aviv, having lost his memory and a gun. As the man struggles to recall his recent past, a woman wakes up in a Shanghai hotel from a similar dream.
A fragmented conversation with a stranger on the phone sets off a strange exploration between the two. Tel Aviv and Shanghai in a movie within a movie and a dream within a dream.
Through a fragmented non linear stream of events that encompass day and night, Tel Aviv and Shanghai are spliced through a vague notion of reality, chaotic observations, drifting between physical and mental spheres,
between the known reality and a hallucinatory one. The film blends urban spaces and modes of perception, oscillating between film noir and science fiction, documentary and fiction.Through a probe of memory, an exploration of the city spaces takes place, processing the city as experienced through an obscure labyrinth of memory fighting to distinguish real from unreal.
"The Cycles" explores various scenarios of two cities in transit shift and decay while checking boundaries of inner and external worlds, documentary and fiction, present dream and future.
In The Insomniac City Cycles Ran Slavin explores a world with internal logic built on the axis of memory the real and the fantastic. It is a travel through dream structures, events and un-foldings that inventively blend mystery, neo-noir and science fiction genres with experimental film making techniques.
The Insomniac City Cycles has been constructed as an ongoing and changing cinematic project. Having been initiated in 2004 and completed in 2009, it is actually the prequel to Insomniac City and includes all of the chapters of the 5 year work cycle.

At the age of 28, I was drafted as a soldier in the Second Lebanon War. Instinctively, I grabbed my video camera. The documentary recalls the lack of justice in this unnecessary war and the loss of valuable lives. This was my personal earthquake and the nation’s as a whole.

Tmuna Kvutzatit Im Isha - The true story of an Israeli Jewish woman who left the country after being forced, by tragic circumstances, to give her only daughter up for adoption, her child from a Muslim-Bedouin man.
Driven by her guilt and low self-esteem, the heroin finds herself abused by all men in her life. Finally, she returns to Israel to search for her lost child and finds herself, together with her director friend, in an unusual cinematic recreation of her life, a voyage that covers three decades, a number of countries and an un-ending escape into oblivion, survival and loss.
Her loves, her escapes, the men in her life, all serve as an echo to that one unfortunate act. Again, in an unusual manner, the heroine finds herself faced, as in a Greek chorus, with a re-examination of her life, and finds that nothing has changed over the years.
The situation reaches its climax when the real character discloses herself to the viewers, towards the film's end, when she replaces the actress portraying her, and describes the epilogue of her tragic life story.

The drama surrounding the privatization of the world's first kibbutz is an ironic allegory to current global crises as the world financial bubble bursts together with our strong belief in capitalist dream.
At the center of this drama is a bitter dispute over the privatization of the world's first kibbutz, 'Degania', established 100 years ago on the banks of the Jordan River. 'Degania' was the Utopian flagship of a Zionist-socialist experiment copied by 400 other kibbutzim. It's ethos was "From each member according to his ability, to each member according to his need". Einstein, Kafka, Gandhi and Masaryk came to see and learn from it.It reflected a struggle between the ideals of cooperative life with shared responsibilities and values versus a community of individuals each responsible for his own destiny. The social fabric woven over a period of 100 years is torn to pieces as the ideological rift widens. This is a local as well as a universal story of the struggle between values of social responsibility against economic and individual freedom.

Runtime: 52 Min.
Ten years after the Rabin assassination, new findings about the night of the murder are revealed and powerful questions arise.
For the first time, the film discloses the late Prime Minister’s clothes, in which a third hole is discovered in the front of his shirt and undershirt respectively, and which was never spoken of, seen or investigated.
The assassination
Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated on the night of November 4th, 1995, by two bullets to his back fired by the murderer Yigal Amir. The bullets were found in the Prime Minister’s body. The first and third "hollow point" bullets struck the Prime Minister and were found in his body. The second plain bullet struck Yoram Rubin, head of the security unit.
The Film
Exhausting research enabled the filmakers access to the clothes that the Prime Minister’s wore on the night of the murder. A third hole, never mentioned, never investigated and never accounted for, is discovered on the front of the Prime Minister’s shirt and undershirt. Filmmakers Naftaly Gliksberg, Arik Bernstein and Nurit Kedar reenact the night of the murder in an attempt to gain insight into this findings. Why was such an important detail never mentioned? Was it human error, or an attempt to conceal information? Was every detail examined?
The film, based on a year of in depth research, revisits the conclusions of the Special Inquiry Commission headed by Chief Justice Shamgar, and investigates the performance of the various authorities involved: the General Security Services (GSS), the Police Force, the State Attorney’s Office, the judicial system and the media – before, during and after the murder.
The film includes interviews with the State Prosecutor in the murder trial, Pnina Guy, the physicians who attended to Rabin in the emergency room, pathologist Prof. Yehuda Hiss, Chief Justice Meir Shamgar who headed the Official Commission Inquiry, GSS top officials Hezi Kalo, Savinoam Avivi and Rafi Malka, General Yaacov Shoval of the Israel Police Central District and many others involved in the case. In addition, the film introduces the expert opinions of two top forensic investigators, one from Israel and the other from Britain, who examined the third hole.
